Next HIKE Inc. this Sunday 4 May

Werribee Gorge is another favourite of HIKE Inc. ... it has some excellent lookouts, the gorge is unexpectedly spectacular, and it was the location of the very first ever HIKE Inc. (And HIKE Inc. 8, check out the photos.)

The walk this Sunday 4 May will be the Werribee Gorge Circuit, which is 8km, should take 3 hours and according to the guide book is rated moderate/difficult (editor's note: it seems more like moderate).

Time: Meet at 9am for a 9.30am start
Where: Meikles Point Picnic Area, 65km from Melbourne

Getting there:
Take the Western Freeway then the Pentland Hills exit (5km beyond Bacchus Marsh). Turn left along Pentland Hills Road. After passing under the freeway take a sharp left into Myers Road, which is followed down into Werribee Gorge State Park. Just before the Quarry Picnic Area an unsealed road continues down to Meikles Point Picnic Area.

Please be sure to bring your lunch, snacks, water and a raincoat. Please let Andrew or I know if you're planning on joining us, and if you'd like to car pool let me know.
