The hike last Sunday at Werribee Gorge didn't quite start ... well actually we did hike for 3 hours on the new Centenary Track. It's just that rain after lunch and the lack of raincoats meant we didn't start the originally planned gorge walk ... although given we had already climbed a 60 degree hill, most of us didn't mind the relax option!
Spotted on the day were black wallabies, a wedge tailed eagle that seemed to be coming straight for us, interesting geology and distant city views. The highlight entertainment on the day was Elie and his happy carrot narrative ... ?!
The next hike is on Sunday 3 May.
