Next HIKE Inc. this Sunday 2 December

The walk has changed to Sherbrooke Forest West in the Dandenongs given the hot weather. Meeting location is Grants Picnic Ground at 10am.

What's in a name? Well Andrew and I are keen to find out ... we're intrigued by the name Tanglefoot in Toolangi, so that's where the next HIKE Inc. is this Sunday 2 December!

We do know some things about the hike already - it is 16.5km, should take 5-6 hours and is rated Moderate. What we're looking forward to is confirming the expected sightings of wombats, swamp wallabies, echidnas and lyrebirds and the tall mountain ash and myrtle beech forests.

Time: 9.30am for a 10am start
Where: Tanglefoot Walking Track, Toolangi State Forest (84km from Melbourne)

Getting there:
Drive 61km to Healesville (via Lilydale), then almost 13km along Myers Creek Road. Turn right (2km before Toolangi) into Sylvia Creek Road and continue 4.5km to Wirrawilla Carpark and then 5.3km to the Tanglefoot Carpark.

Please let either Andrew or I know if you'll be joining us. Some of us are likely to car pool, so let me know if you're interested. As always, remember to bring lunch, snacks, water, sunscreen and pack a raincoat.
